Here is a collection of work I have created for breifs in college over the past couple of months.

The first thee images are from a graphics brief titled "it's you'r mouth" the title was given with no set restrictions the brief was to be answered as the individual saw fit. I chose to answer it photographically choosing food as my subject. I used both love heart sweets and Jaffa cakes, with the love hearts I created both a regular collection and I also created images in which I had changed the loving messages to offensive inappropriate wording. I used the Jaffa cake advert full moon, half moon, quarter moon, total eclipse and portrayed it through 4 simple images.

As my dream brief I decided to photograph Baron Hill as it is a large creepy mansion very similar to the haunted houses that people dream of both when they were younger.

University digital portfolio

These are the images that I used for my digital portfolio for my university application I believe it showcases mystrenghts my ability to photograph anything and everything and that I am not just stuck on one style of photography.

The Heavy Snow, December 2010

December 2010 here in the UK we were hit by heavy snowfall, having been eager for weeks for snow having watched the news seeing that everyone else had it except for us. When the snow finally hit I was prepared,  my camera, tripod and empty memory card were patiantly awaiting the snows arrival.
I live near a graveyard and I find the dark gravestones which represent death and the delicate pure tangiable white snow to be a very interesting contrast. Here is a collection of what I believe to be some of the best photographs i took during this period of time.

Nature photos

To be perfectly honest I am not a person who is totally at eease with nature, however coming from a family who enjoys walking, visiting the countryside and exploring I make the best of the situation by photographing the experience making it allot more bearable and interesting for myself. These photos are a collection I have taken over the past two years in France, Greece and here in Wales. What I like about photographing nature is that it is a subject that is unpredictable you have to capture the moment instantly time is of the essence and it can be a challenge to get a good shot.

My Shadow

Whilst I am out taking photos if  the weather permits me I take photographs of my shadow in different locations trying to make interesting different photos. These photographs were taken in a number of locations in both North Wales and Edinburgh

France

Here are some of the photographs that I took whilst on holiday in France over the past few years.

The photo above is a photograph of a collection of grave plaques which were lying in a pile on the floor of a graveyard in the mountains in the South of France. I found the plaques truly beautiful they are artistic they stand out they are very different from the graves/grave stones you find here in the UK. It is in my opinion one of the most emotive images I have taken, it is truly heartbreaking knowing that the graves haven't been cared for and that there are graves without their plaques.
